Beer Is What We Make at DreamChasers
Seems that folks around Waxhaw feel like there is a bit of mystery regarding why we do not make and serve food here at DreamChasers Brewery. The simple answer is that our knowledge is beer. We do not know how to run a kitchen, nor do we have any recipes that are spectacular enough to wow a crowd. We have an advantage that many breweries do not. We are in the middle of a vibrant town surrounded by a lot of great restaurants. You can carry out or have food delivered to our brewery while enjoying our beer. We have talked to the town of Waxhaw about allowing us to have food trucks on certain days. As both streets surrounding our building are town property, we have to get permission to have food trucks. They are working on changing the ordinances and seemed very open to letting this happen. We would plan on inviting food trucks that offer fare you cannot get in town. Many of you have visited breweries in the Charlotte area and know that many of them rely on food trucks for the same reason we rely on other food establishments. Beer is our specialty, food is not. I hope for anyone that has wondered to themselves about this issue, that we have answered that question.
So This Means We’re Dog-Friendly!
So when we posted this message on Facebook last week, a couple of people asked if this means dogs are allowed! Yes! The great news is that leashed dogs are allowed in our brewery. Of course this would be impossible if we served food inside of our brewery.
But it’s okay to bring food. And your well-behaved dog… seriously now.
Really, it’s kind of a win – win – win – win… we do what we do best, we love dogs and welcome them (well behaved ones, of course!), we support local restaurants by encouraging you to go there for food, and we don’t mind one bit if you bring your own food in and enjoy it here… being mindful that some folks might have a furry friend along.
Feel Free To Bring Food
Yes! We don’t mind if you bring food into DreamChasers Brewery, and enjoy it here – with your beer. A couple of our recommendations are JB’s BBQ across the way, and Black Chicken which is located next door. Maxwells is always a great choice, as well. We have all kinds of menus here if you want to ‘shop’ for food and bring it in.
So that’s the story on food here at DreamChasers. For now, we’re sticking to what we do best – and that’s making BEER! Come see us this weekend and find out for yourself.
